Working on countries--what does the phrase mean?[edit source]

I'm hoping to contribute some bare-bones country articles. Can someone please tell me, what does the phrase "na'éstse manâhéno" mean?AzseicsoK (talk) 03:59, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not at all sure about this, but after clicking through some Wiktionary definitions and looking on a few .edu sites I got:
  1. "na'êstse" = "one" OR "there is (a)"
    References: [1] (under "n")
  2. "manâhéno" = "settlement" OR "village" OR literally "band place"
References: [2] "village, settlement.Literally: band-place. that is, the place where a band lives. See: mana; mâhoéve'ho'éno; -nó2. Etym: cf. M meniika:n." and gl:wikt:manâhéno
So it means "(there is) a settlement". Please don't get discouraged, you've done a great job on this wiki. :) PiRSquared17 (talk) 17:19, 4 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Example: the text on Los Angeles means "Los Angeles, a village (or settlement), California". PiRSquared17 (talk) 18:49, 4 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Where can I have a question actually seen??[edit source]

I've been posting a question or two to every forum I can find here. Nothing ever happens. Where can one post a question where someone might actually run into it? Uporządnicki (talk) 16:25, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion template?[edit source]

I'm trying to add the "Proposed deletion" template to the article on Kaskadia. But I can't get it to work right. Does that template work here? Uporządnicki (talk) 15:21, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No, that template doesn't exist here. Most wikis don't have "proposed deletion" templates because there aren't many active users to check them after the required amount of time. You could copy the source of the English Wikipedia template here, but the category of PRODs may not actually be checked by the local admin or the global sysops. Where to post things??????[edit source]

Where can I post a concern where it might actually be noticed???? Uporządnicki (talk) 11:24, 29 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I recommend User talk:Amqui, but I'll check the recent changes here for another week to see if you have any more questions. Regards, PiRSquared17 (talk) 17:24, 4 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Where can one post a question here, and have it seen????[edit source]

Where can one post a question in this Wikipedia, and have someone actually see it and address it? Uporządnicki (talk) 13:11, 30 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your question here is seen by the m:SWMT. But what is the actual question (other than where to ask questions)? PiRSquared17 (talk) 00:36, 4 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Well, let's see. JUST FROM THIS VERY FORUM HERE (in fact, IMMEDIATELY ABOVE your question as to what my "question is" (try "questions are"), there is:
Working on countries--what does the phrase mean?
Proposed deletion template
OK, the other two were repeats of how you get noticed around here. I had other questions in other places. But I'm not going to go through and find them, because I still feel like I'm wasting my time here. Uporządnicki (talk) 14:13, 4 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
But you might also look at the article on Mexico--my questions on the talk page. Then there was an article on a dreamland "country" called Kaskadia, but the article is gone. It seems that my posting to every available forum finally got something done. But I haven't got time for that. Uporządnicki (talk) 14:18, 4 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I've replied to all your questions on this page, the Mexico talk page (the population table was already removed but I answered the questions about it), and the Cascadia talk page. PiRSquared17 (talk) 18:21, 4 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
